Virginia "Judy" L. Matta's Obituary
Virginia "Judy" L. Matta, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2024, in Coraopolis, PA, at the age of 91. She was born on June 20, 1932 in Grantsville, West Virginia.
Judy was a Munhall native through and through, having graduated from Munhall High School in the Class of 1950. After high school, she laid down deep roots in the community, residing happily in the same house for 57 years. A woman of faith, Judy was an integral part of St. Agnes Parish for half a century. She also served as a Committee Woman in Munhall District 12 for an impressive 30 years. Her civic engagement also included membership in the Prince of Peace New Generation Club on the South Side and active participation in a 500 Club where she formed lasting friendships that meant the world to her.
Judy celebrated a joyous 50-year union with the love of her life, the late Clement A. Matta Sr. The couple's milestone anniversary was a grand celebration, surrounded by friends and relatives who shared in their happiness.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter to her sons, Clement "Gus" (Kathy) A. Matta Jr. and Michael Matta, her six grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Judy's warm spirit and unwavering commitment to those she loved will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
All services will be private and handled by Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.
