Victor D. Collavo, Jr.'s Obituary
Victor D. Collavo, 90, of Mt. Lebanon formerly of Greentree, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2016. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on April 6, 1926, to Victor and Emma Collavo. He was preceded in death by his wife Catherine June of 57 years also preceded in death by by his sister Jean Gamble and his son David "Rocky" Collavo (Maryellen Crocker); Victor is survived by his children Susan (Jim) Hudson and Michael Collavo; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Victor retired from Port Authority after 43 years of service, a Veteran of the 84th infantry division at the rank of Sergeant he served in the Battle of the Bulge and Battle of the Rhine. Victor loved to reminisce of his time served in WWII and he was also an avid reader of WWII history. He loved to fish and hunt in his early years. Victor was a long-standing member of the Bridgeville Italian Club and Bridgeville Owl's Club. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Blessing Service will be conducted on Thursday at 8 PM at the Funeral Home.
