Timothy Richard Holoman's Obituary
Timothy Richard Holoman, of West Mifflin, entered eternal paradise on April 12, 2021 at the age of 63 surrounded by his loving family. Tim’s legacy lives though his loving wife of 40 years, Leslie (Maloney) Holoman his son Thomas (Emily) Holoman, daughter Lindsay (Nick) Wynne, mother Patricia (Ehnot) Holoman, brother James (Jennifer) Holoman, and sister Tricia (David) Derry. Tim also adored his three grandchildren Henry, Charles, and Louis, as well as, generations of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
Tim was a brilliant videographer for WPXI Television that spanned over 25 years. His impact and influence throughout Pittsburgh’s news business was immense earning him a myriad of awards and accomplishments. He earned the proclamation of “WPXI Class of 2016 Day” on March 29, 2016 alongside his long-time friends, Scott Dobson and Mark Johnston, through Pittsburgh’s City Council. Tim has earned numerous Golden Quill and Ed Romano awards as well as two Television Emmys for his coverage of local, state, and federal events. He has covered multiple Steeler’s Super Bowls, Penguin’s Stanley Cups, and the Olympics. Tim was inducted into the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Mid-Atlantic Chapter Hall of Fame in 2017. In addition to his tenure at the news station, you could find Tim running the video scoreboard for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Panthers.
Beyond his work accomplishments, Tim was a dedicated family man who was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother. He cared so much about his family and was one of the most humble individuals you could get to know. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed golfing with his friends. You could find Tim boating and fishing with his family and friends on Pymatuning Lake. He will be dearly missed by all.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Richard S. Holoman and his grandparents John and Margaret Ehnot.
Family and friends are invited to the Jefferson Memorial Cemetery and Funeral Home, 301 Curry Holly Road Pittsburgh, PA 15236 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021 and 9 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at St. Agnes Parish 622 St Agnes Lane West Mifflin, PA 15122 at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the International Myeloma Foundation https://www.myeloma.org/
