Thomas L. Spartis' Obituary
Age 67, of Pleasant Hills, Pa. passed away after a long hard fought battle with cancer on April 27, 2018. Beloved brother of Philip (Maria) Spartis and Gary (Pam) Spartis; son of Cleo and Louis Spartis; uncle of Elias (Nicole) Spartis, Alex (Allie) Spartis, Dean Spartis, Alexa Spartis, and Caroline Spartis; great-uncle of Philip Leo, JP, Grayson, and Dillon Spartis; and cherished friend of Grace Pavelko. A graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and a former Volunteer Fireman of the Pleasant Hills Fire Department, Tom worked his entire life as a grounds keeper for the South Park of Allegheny County. Tom loved his Pittsburgh Penguins and riding his bike through the hills of Western Pennsylvania. He loved visits to the Jersey shore and riding with the waves with his Brothers and Cousins. Those who got to know Tom enjoyed his quick wit and sense of humor. His pride and joy were his Nephews, Nieces, and Great Nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, April 30, from 12:30-1 pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC. 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236. A Funeral Service, presided by Fr. William Zotis will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Private interment at Jefferson Memorial Park.
