Thomas F. Geyer's Obituary
Thomas (Tom) F. Geyer, age 88, of Whitehall, passed away on June 6, 2026.
Tom is survived by his wife Joanne (Ott) Geyer; children Thomas Geyer and Tracey (Ted) McKittrick; grandson Connor Price; step-grandchildren Kristina (Bryce) McAteer and Markus McKittrick; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Gertrude Geyer and his siblings Marlene (Richard) Fielman and Gary (Sylvia) Geyer.
Tom was born on May 11, 1938, in Seldom Seen, a section of Mount Washington in Pittsburgh he grew up with his family. Later his parents moved to Marienville, PA. Where he, his father, and brother built his parents home.
In 1956, Tom graduated from South Hills High School, where he met his wife, Joanne. They were married on May 28, 1960, and together they had two wonderful children, Tommy and Tracey.
Tom was a hardworking individual who dedicated his career to home remodeling. He specialized in roofing, windows, kitchens, and any other big or small projects. His first car was a 1957 Chevy, which he cherished as his pride and joy.
In 2000, Tom became Pappy to Connor Thomas Price, a joy that filled his life for the next 25 years. He attended Connor's hockey games, no matter how far away they were, and was always there for him. As a Penn State fan, he was thrilled to see Connor go to and graduate from the university.
Tom found immense happiness when he spent time with his family during holidays and birthdays. He was an avid Steelers fan and had season tickets starting from Forbes Field, Three Rivers Stadium, and finally at Heinz Field. He went to the games with his son and the same group of friends for many years. One of the highlights of his life was witnessing the Immaculate Reception, one of the greatest moments in Steelers. History.
Tom lived a full and happy life and will be deeply missed by many, and his memory will never be forgotten.
Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, June 13 at 11:00 am in the funeral home's chapel.
