Thomas E. Colinear's Obituary
Thomas Edward Colinear passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Concordia in Monroeville, PA. He was born on June 22, 1946, in Larimer, PA. He was the son of the late Theodore and Anselma (Zelma) Colinear.
He graduated from Norwin High School in 1965. He worked for several trucking companies during his career and retired as a Broker for R & R Express in Pittsburgh, PA.
Thomas was a member of the Elks Club in Irwin and a member of the Irwin Moose Lodge #236 where he attained many degrees. He acquired the Moose Legion Degree on October 5, 1996, and the Fellowship Degree on August 19, 2000. He was the Past Governor of Irwin Lodge #236, and the Past Pennsylvania Moose Association State President in 2005-2006. He received his Pilgrim Degree on May 27, 2006, which is the highest degree one can receive in the Loyal Order of the Moose. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Agnes Church in North Huntingdon, PA.
Tom coached his son in little league baseball for the Norwin Police Athletic League. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws Elmer and Charlotte Hershfield, his son Thomas Matthew Colinear, brother Teddy Colinear and nephew, Joel Colinear. He is survived by his wife, Nancy of 52 years, his beloved dog Gus, daughter-in-law Stephanie Colinear (Doug), sister Judy Kitchen of Kentucky, sister Jean Patterson (the late Ed) of Florida, brother-in-law Elmer Hershfield (the late Jane) of Irwin, sister-in-law Gennie Hreha (Frank) of East Stroudsbug, PA, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The Colinear family would like to thank the 2nd and 3rd floor staff of Concordia, and Suncrest Hospice for the exceptional care that they provided. Per Tom’s request there will be no viewing.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather with the family on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 12:00 – 1:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A blessing service will be held in the chapel at the funeral home at 1:00 pm.
