Thomas "Tom" Caruso
Age 59, of Pleasant Hills, passed away surrounded by his loving family on May 7, 2016. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 22, 1956, to Louis and Anne Caruso. Tom is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Susan Lewis Caruso; his five daughters, Danielle Bianca Caruso, Jeana Dione (Chad) Caruso Hardy, Jonette Michele (Daniel) McClelland, Andrea Lyn Caruso, and Gabriella Louise Caruso; two granddaughters, Isabella Sophia Caruso and Adreana Marie Caruso; three grandsons, Andrew James McClelland, Angelo Thomas Mortle, and Paul Walter Baran, III; brother, Peter A. Caruso; sister, Lenore Caruso-Russo; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as a sister, Mary Lou Williams; three brothers, Daniel Caruso, Anthony "Sonny" Caruso, and Gerard "Gerry" Caruso.
T. Caruso was a member of BLET Local 325 and was employed by Norfolk-Southern Railroad for 17 years. Tom was a Pastry Chef, known for his cream puffs, pie crust and breads, but he was a mechanic at heart and loved his concrete. His greatest joys were his five girls and five grandchildren. He loved his wife beyond measure, and his sons-in-law were the sons he never had.
Friends will be received on Wednesday and Thursday 12 Noon - 3 pm and 6 pm - 9 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, May 13, 2016 at 10 am in Holy Angels Church. Interment to follow in Jefferson Memorial Park. Condolences may be given at www.jeffersonmemorial.biz.
