Thomas A. Brennen's Obituary
Age 85, of Pittsburgh, PA, US Army Veteran, passed away on July 19, 2021, with his family by his side. Tom is survived by his loving family, his wife of 55 years, Mary(nee Davies) Brennen, daughter Susan(Ron) and son Scott(Coleen). Tom also had three grandchildren whom he adored, Ryan, Maggie and Maura.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Genevieve and Thomas, Sr.; sisters Jeanine and Gloria, and brother Robert. Tom is survived by sister Cathy(Bob) Sacks of Florida.
After serving in the Army, Tom worked for US Steel where he retired, as well as ALCO Parking, where he ultimately retired.
Tom enjoyed and was proud to work for both organizations. He was an active member of St. Elizabeth Parish, serving as eucharistic minister; participating in the Men's Club; he also enjoyed his golf league, following Notre Dame sports, but most of all traveling to and attending his grandchildren's many sporting, band and school events. Tom was a great Pap to his grandchildren.
Friends and family may be received at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA, 15236, on Thursday, July 22, from 2-4 and 6-8PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church on Friday, July 23 at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pittsburgh Greater Community Food Bank and Brother's Brother Foundation.
