Thomas J. Bernosky's Obituary
Thomas John Bernosky, 58, of West Mifflin, passed away unexpectedly on August 21, 2021.
His adoptive parents, John A Bernosky and Virginia L Bernosky (Quillen) predeceased him. He was the loving father of Thomas GD Bernosky and SPC Graham DT Bernosky US Army and Loving Stepfather of David J Budai and Daniel Budai. He is survived by his Birth Mother, Anne McIvor (Forestal), Sister, Kelly Conti, Brothers, Shawn and Chris Wells. Nephews James Uhrinak, Markie Denne, Troy, Tyler, Brec, Mathew Conti and Nick and Chris Wells.
Tom completed his education at West Mifflin North High School in 1981, attended Rosedale Technical Institute in Pittsburgh, PA, He then held a position with Pittsburgh Crankshaft as purchasing manager. Tom was an accomplished Mechanic who developed his own company,Green Thumb Power and Equipment Corporation, a small engine sales and service company since 1989. Many relied on his mechanical knowledge and salesmanship. During this time he also worked for the Union Railroad as a Locomotive mechanic and was a member of the USWA Local 1913 where he served as Vice President subsequently becoming President.
He also was a Republican committee member in West Mifflin in the late 1980's through early 1990's. Friends and family who knew Tom could appreciate his conservative unwavering political humor and long conversations recanting his childhood in Bellwood of which he enjoyed dearly and held close to his heart. Tom was also an avid historian who enjoyed collecting historical memorabilia. Tom especially honored his Scottish heritage.
Tom's life touched many and he will be truly missed.
