It is with great sadness that the family of Suzanne Caley Prosperi announce her passing on April 17, 2025. Sue was born on February 28, 1962, and lived most of her life in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, most recently in South Park, PA.
Sue met her beloved husband and the love of her life, Mark Prosperi in South Park while cruising in classic cars. They had many similar interests and became best friends and partners for life. She leaves her faithful and devoted Aussie, Sam, who she loved to pieces.
Sue is preceded in death by her beloved mother Sylvia Surab. Along with her husband, Sue leaves her loving sister Beverly (Steve), her stepchildren Matthew Prosperi (Kayla), Carla Prosperi (Matt Bernhardt) and Michael Prosperi; her niece Heather Gross, nephew Steven (Jessica); grandchildren, Chloe, Madison, Dominic and Gianna Prosperi; great-niece, Katie, and great-nephews Colin, Weston, and Camden.
She worked for many years for Center for Rehab Services and was well-loved by her co-workers and the patients she serviced. Sue was a hard worker, at home and in her yard. She loved discovering new ways to plant garden vegetables and flowers. Sue loved visiting the beach and loved the sounds of the ocean waves and shore birds.
For many years, Sue fought courageous battle with cancer and never gave up. Sue faced many challenges with this relentless disease but remained positive, with her husband always at her side. Her strength, optimism, faith and tenacity kept her going through the rough times. She was a warrior like no other.
We will miss her gentle demeanor, vitality and generous spirit.
