Susan Alice Hoefling's Obituary
On June 19, 2021, Susan Alice Lenhart-Hoefling, age 73 of Pittsburgh, PA passed away peacefully at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She is now at home with the Lord and is reunited with her two children.
Susan was born on January 17, 1948 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to her parents, William Lenhart and Alice Fulton. She had one sibling; William Terry Lenhart who preceded her death.
Her two beautiful children, Tracey Pava and Timothy Braly also preceded her in death.
Susan is survived by her niece, Erin Pover; nephew, Matthew Lenhart along with her sister-in-law and countless dear friends; especially Curtis Braly and Jeffrey Riley, who she considered family.
Susan was a very independent woman and not much of a social butterfly or one to carry on with long conversation. However, she found her own unique ways of showing love, compassion and the size of her strong loving heart. She would often find gifts & trinkets that would remind her of her friends while she was out shopping and then deliver those to them to show her appreciation for their friendship.
She was also excited for opportunities to volunteer for her community. She turned her love for playing the trombone into an opportunity to share music with others by joining the Baldwin Community Concert Band. They’d often play for community events, senior living facilities, etc… all of which she was excited to do. She was so honored to be a part of the band that her neighbor’s got to listen to her practicing at home on a regular basis, whether they liked it or not.
If you were privileged enough to get to know Sue, you had no doubt in your mind about her love and compassion for others. She touched many lives. In fact, many have said that they truly believe that their own lives will forever be changed for the better for having her a part of it.
Susan, we will always love you and cherish each and every moment that you allowed us to be a part of your life. We will hold you in our hearts until we have the opportunity to meet again.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 12:00 pm at the funeral home chapel.
