Steve was such a joy to chat with and to know. I live right next door to vocellis for over 6 years! Steve was the most spiritually-perfect, funny, awesome man and friend. Always kind… always. That man had the best attitude of anyone I’ve ever known. Much love to everyone who knew him!! He gave me the CD of his son, Jake too! I’ve listened several times but today I put it on my iPod to always remember Steve and God bless his family. I’m 36 and I knew Steve from my age 30 until 35. Steve has no replacement bc honestly knowing him… I honestly believe he is now ruling and reigning with Jesus in the Kingdom of God. Nothing ever rude or fake or unkind ever came out of Steve. It didn’t matter where you were, or the conversation you were having, Steve always managed to make me laugh. I’ll never forget the impromptu encounters at Eat n’ Park when Paul and I would see Steve at whatever hours of the evening. It was always a pleasure to have him join us and reminisce of old stories that ended with a good belly laugh. God Bless you Steve! I will miss you!

Steve was our sound engineer for the band The Belairs. We thought so much of him and he was so important to our process that he wasn’t just our sound man, he was as important a member as any of the musicians and singers. So when we performed, he dressed as we did. And, when we prepared promotional materials, he was part of the photo and rightly so. His kindness and humor helped direct us whether we were rehearsing or performing. His loss is significant and our thoughts and prayers go out to Jake and family. We will miss him. With deepest sympathies.
