Shirley M. Swatko (Mehaffey)'s Obituary
At the age of 86, Shirley M. Swatko peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on February 3, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward A. Swatko. She is proceeded in death by parents, George and Mildred Mehaffey; brother, Jack Mehaffey; and daughter, Kathleen (Steve survives) Volgen. She was the loving mother of David (Kim), Sharon (David) Dojack, Judy (Ron) Devey, Robert (Kate), and Kimberly (John) Stevens; the wonderful and loving grandmother to Crystal, Anthony, Jessica (Jason), Bethany, Amanda, Joshua, Amy, Rachael, James, Alyssa (AJ), Sharon (Corey), and Christian; great-grandmother to Sydney and Lucas, and Estée; loving friend to Eddie Walker-Swatko. She was a dedicated member of the RN Association and a 50-year member of the Eastern Star Chapter 491, and a member of the St. Elizabeth Senior Club. Shirley was a kind, giving, and gracious lady who loved spending time with family, traveling, playing cards, and reading books. She will be missed by many. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, February 7, 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Blessing Service will be held on Thursday, February 8, 10 AM, in the funeral home chapel.
