Shirley A. Hickman's Obituary
Shirley Hickman, age 89, formerly of Brentwood and Pleasant Hills, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Daughter of the late Samuel George and Josephine (Cook) Hartline.
Shirley is survived by her children, Deborah Orr, Linda Quigley (Ken Sines), and James Hickman; grandchildren Darcie Orr, Jamie (Andrew) Dodd, Stephanie Quigley, Alyse Quigley, Katie Hickman, Samantha and Nicholas Riesmeyer, and several great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her step-children Leonard E. (Myra Abramovitz) Hickman, Jr., Fred (Judy) Hickman, and Linda (John) Knott.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Leonard E. Hickman, Sr., her daughter Tammy (Rich) Riesmeyer, granddaughter Maura, and her siblings Dorothy EnDean, David G. Hartline, and her brother Paul who died in infancy.
Shirley was a long-time member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Carrick and was saddened at its closure. She enjoyed going on AARP trips, especially to the casinos, and trips to visit her grandchildren in Texas.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 from 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, 15236. A funeral service will take place at 6:30 pm in the funeral home's chapel following visitation.
