Shirley Bissell's Obituary
Shirley A. Bissell, age 92 of Lincoln Place, PA passed away on March 18, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.
Born on November 28,1933 in Homestead, PA, she is the daughter of Helen (Nagy) and
George Sninsky. Shirley married Harold "Pete" Bissell on November 29, 1953 after they met at the supermarket where she was working and became parents to five children: Lawrence (Lori Eggert), Gary (Susan), Cindy Kemmerling, Debra and Keith. Also surviving are grandchildren, Glenn and Adam Kemmerling and Nicole and Brandon Bissell.
Shirley and her husband were married for 50 years before his passing in March 2003 and they had many wonderful experiences in that time. The birth of children, family life, lots of Camping, a trip to California for a Steelers Super Bowl , the World's Fair in New York City, many trips to Hawaii visiting relatives and much more.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband and by her daughter Debra Bissell - they are
glad to welcome her home. She also was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Helen Stype, and her brothers George and Robert.
Shirley is to be interred next to the love of her life Harold in Jefferson Memorial Park. A graveside service will be held on March 28, 2026 at 12:00 PM. All who wish to attend should meet no later than 11:45am at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
