Scott Anthony Malley's Obituary
Scott A. Malley, 61, of Baldwin, passed unexpectedly, on Tuesday, March 10. Scott was born in Pittsburgh to Ray and Janet (Crough) Malley, he is survived by his wife of 27 years Michelle (Abbott) Malley; children Amber, Jess, Kaylyn, and Jeremy (Maura); sisters Robyn (Doug) Orsini and Kim (Joe) Meyer; grandchildren Madison, Emerson, Miranda, Skylar, Blake, and Grace; nieces Amanda (Jeff) and Carli (Justin); nephews Jimmy (Kailee), Mike, and Blaise.
There are very few larger-than-life men left in this world, without Scott, there is one fewer; he had a gentle firmness and willingness to help others that was unmatched. Scott spent his career as a carpenter, taking pride in his work and always taking the time to teach and mentor those around him.
Scott was the rock of his family, friends, and for many in his community. For those he cared about, he unselfishly gave the most precious gift we have to offer, his time, whether they needed home renovations or a mechanic, there were very few problems he couldn't solve. He put a piece of himself into each project he did and we hope all who were blessed to have had his help can look at those and remember him fondly.
The impact he made in the world will continue to be felt by all those he took the time to help, by those who use the skills he taught, and by his family who miss him deeply but have countless memories to hold on to.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 from 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (301 Curry Hollow Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15236).
In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations can be made to Rebuilding Together Pittsburgh, rtpittsburgh.org, in Scott's name.
