Scott Eckert, 55, of New Sewickley Township passed away with peace and grace on January 5, 2019 with his loving and devoted wife by his side.
Scott was born in 1963 in Pittsburgh, Pa. He graduated from Carrick High School and continued on to receive a Bachelors Degree in Philosophy and Biblical Studies from Geneva College. Scott earned a Masters of Divinity degree from Pittsburgh theological Seminary and was ordained into the ministry. He was a man of strong faith, believing in the power and strength of Jesus Christ's love and the beauty and peace that would await him after his passing.
Scott was married for 26 years to Diane Eckert (Dollison) whom he supported, respected, and loved unconditionally. Scott loved listening to classical music, laughing, and being with his wife and fur babies. He was preceded in death by his father Albert Eckert and his mother Virginia Eckert.
Scott touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end.
Friends will be received on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh. Interment will be private.
The Family would like to thank the wonderful staff of Good Samaritan Hospice, Beaver Inpatient Unit, who provided extraordinary care of Scott in his time of need.
