Scott Andrew's Obituary
Scott P. Andrew, age 43, of Pittsburgh, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, leaving behind a legacy filled with joy, adventure, and an indomitable spirit that uplifted everyone around him. Scott was born on November 4, 1980, the son of Jack and Kathy (McElhinney) Andrew.
In addition to his parents, Scott leaves his sister, Kate (Jeff) Lippert and his cherished nephews, Timmy and Jake. Scott also leaves his aunts, uncles, many cousins, extended family members and countless friends whom he adored.
Scott's journey through life was as vibrant as he was. He was a graduate of Baldwin High School; his early education laid the foundation for a successful career of 25 years as a carpenter, a trade that allowed him to express his creativity and craftsmanship.
Apart from his professional life, Scott was a man of many passions. As a skydiver and videographer, he captured breathtaking moments that many could only dream of experiencing. However, his adventurous spirit didn't stop there—he was an avid swimmer whether it be at a lake or the ocean, a dedicated runner, an enthusiastic hiker, and a snowboarder who embraced the thrill of the mountains.
Scott was a lover of music whether he was strumming on his guitar or traveling far and wide to attend concerts with his best friends, sharing in the euphoria of live performances. He was also a movie enthusiast with a love for cinematic masterpieces.
An adventurer at heart, Scott's sense of exploration knew no bounds. Whether soaring through the clouds or scaling the heights of a challenging trail, he embraced every opportunity thrown his way. His optimism was as infectious as his laugh, being fondly recalled by those who loved him as the happiest person to ever live. He had the extraordinary ability to make each individual feel like the center of the universe. Those who knew Scott will remember him for his unwavering kindness, his boundless energy, and his ability to see the good in every situation.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 2:00 – 7:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. Guests are invited to gather at the funeral home at 10:00 am on Friday, September 20, 2024, for a celebration of life service beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will be held in Jefferson Memorial Park.
