Sara Jean Redinger's Obituary
Sara Jean (Emerick) Redinger, age 80, passed away peacefully in her home in North Strabane Township, formerly of Mt. Lebanon.
Daughter of the late Milton Campbell and Freda (Emerick) Campbell, she was born in Cecil on March 7, 1944. Sara was the mother of Donald J. (Jacqueline) of Castle Shannon, grandmother of Danielle Clary (Matthew) of Brookline, Donald A. of Castle Shannon, and Jason G. of Castle Shannon. Great grandmother of Crimsyn Reign Clary of Brookline, and her unborn great granddaughter Sailor Sage Clary. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her first great granddaughter Alessia Jacqueline Clary.
Sara was the co-owner of D.R. Plumbing from 1973-1991 and a past president of the WPA Square Dance Federation. She was also past president and was still active in the Peters Township VFW Post 764 Women’s Auxiliary. Sara was also an Associate Broker for Coldwell Banker Real Estate. She sold homes for many years and managed the West Mifflin office and opened the Pleasant Hills office of Coldwell Banker Real Estate Services. Sara Jean cherished her family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends. She was an avid golfer, very active and enjoyed volunteering for the veterans and will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 from 10 am - 2 pm at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home located at 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236, (412) 655-4501. A private family memorial service will be held at 2 pm in the funeral home's chapel. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, Sara is asking for donations to be made to Emmanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church located at 935 Pine Avenue Castle Shannon, PA 15234, (412) 531-1080.
