Santa Maya Tamang's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Santa Maya Tamang, a beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of our community, who departed this life on June 18, 2026, at the age of 85. Santa embraced a life filled with faith, family, and creativity. She was an artistic soul known for her beautiful singing and knitting, sharing her crafts with those she loved. Throughout her life, she exemplified the spirit of generosity and kindness, rooted in her deep Christian faith.
For over 40 years, she was a devoted wife, to the late Man Badhur Tamang. Her love and devotion extended to her family, who will forever treasure the memories made with her. She is survived by her loving children, Nima Dolma Tamang, Dal Bhadhur Tamang, and Dillip Tamang; her cherished grandchildren: Rejina Tamang, Bikash Tamang, Ajit Tamang, Kamal Tamang, Enoch Chhetri, Aaron Tamang, Rema Tamang, Anand Tamang, Bidhan Tamang, Puspanjali Tamang, Suman Tamang and Chunu Tamang, great grandchildren; Ashbin Tamang, Abigail Tamang, Amos Tamang, Asaph Tamang, Aliana Tamang, Ebenezer Tamang, Elohim Tamang, and Evan Tamang siblings; Santa Bir Tamang, Bhim Badhur Tamang, Lara Tamang, Mongail Tamang, Chandra Tamang, Purna Tamang, Ash Badhur Tamang, and Kabira Tamang.
In celebration of her beautiful spirit and a gathering will be held at Jefferson Memorial Mausoleum 401 Curry Hollow Rd Pittsburgh Pa 15236 on June 22, 2026, at 10:00 AM, where family and friends will gather to honor her life and faith.
Santa Maya Tamang's legacy of love, faith, and creativity will forever inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace, embraced by the love of God and surrounded by the melodies she cherished.
