The last time I saw Sandy she was holding out a communion basket for me. That was only a few weeks before she went home to Heaven. She was a powerful woman of God who greatly encouraged me in my faith.
One reason I go to church is to learn more about Jesus. Sandy was a joy to be around, loved the Lord, and the love of God flowed from her. She always had a smile on her face and a kind word to share. She worked hard serving the church and loved everyone. She was instrumental in organizing the baptism of my friend. This was the biggest blessing for me to see. Sandy also organized a wonderful Christmas party at church and we all had a wonderful time.
I’m sorry she’s gone and I’ll miss her, but I am so grateful to God for her inspiring life. Every church needs beautiful people like Sandy. I hope one day I’ll be more like Sandy. When I heard her life on earth was through, I instantly pictured her walking with Jesus. I am certain she heard, “Well done, good and faithful servant!”
Sincere sympathy to her family,
Carla Merideth
