Dear Cousins, I am grieving tonight along with all of you. I know your heartbreak. I am remembering spending weekends at your house and your Mom making us meals and snacks and teaching me to sew. Aunt Ruth always had a quick smile and gentle words. I know that she is now reunited with your Dad, Grandma, Grandpap, Aunt Dolly and \"honey boy\" (Uncle Ep)! I will always be thankful that I met Ruth. Though I only knew her in her later years, it was obvious from the start, that she had been and was still a loving mother and was a person who loved living. The joy on her face, when she was with her children was a joy to witness. There was no doubt as to who was her favorite entertainer, at least in her later years, the country star Kenny Chesney. I have sung along with her to one of Kenny's songs, more than once, when a DVD of his was shown on the TV. Fun times and that is how I will always remember her, singing along with Kenny, joy on her face, and making a comment or two about him, with her two daughters and I laughing together.
