Marie
I was riding down Glen Caladh Street today and noticed Mrs. Edwards home being cleaned out today. Atleast I thought that’s what was going on. So I came home and looked her up. I had no idea that Ruth had passed away. My name is Marie Fitzhenry McBride, and she was my neighbor for many many years. I knew her, her husband and her one son. When I was a young girl, growing up, we were a close group of neighbors. I however, would love to sit on her porch steps and talk while the others played games. Then In high school I became a majorette with a fire baton, so I would perform in front of her home for her. Back then we had street parties, and everyone looked out for one another. If were doing something we shouldn’t, Ruth was one of the first ones to yell at us then tell on us.I ran into Ruth a few years back at the local Rite-aid. It was very nice to see her and I was happy she remembered me. Today reading her obituary made me sad, but also happy that God blessed her with a very long life. So to her family, I would like to extend my condolences to you and to say that she will always remain alive in my heart and in my memories. God Bless you Ruth Edwards 🙏🏼✝️☮️Your old neighbor, Marie Fitzhenry McBride
