Ruth A. Donovan's Obituary
Ruth Ann Seemiller Donovan "Ruthie", age 87, of South Park, PA., passed away surrounded by her loving family on October 13, 2022.
Ruth is survived by beloved husband, John Daniel Donovan; her loving children, Betty Mae (Kevin) Tatman, Elaine (Keith) Golebie, Kathy (Doug) Cromer, John (Karen) Donovan, and Dale (Marija) Donovan, her grandchildren, Matthew, Justin, Emma, Leah, Jessica, Katherine, Joshua, Brad, Hunter, and Caelan, and her great-grandchildren, Eden, Cairo, and Anthony. Also survived by nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Helen Seemiller, and her siblings, Elmer Seemiller, Edward Seemiller and Ella Mae MacDonald.
Ruthie was born at home and grew up in Mt. Oliver. She was a graduate of St. Canice High School in 1953 and went to business school following. She married John Daniel Donovan in 1956. She was an accountant, held various customer service positions, and finally was a Bus Monitor for the Baldwin Whitehall School District. Ruthie loved to dance and play basketball. She was an excellent card player and enjoyed board games. She also loved to go to the casino to play the slots. She spent summers at French Creek with her family at the cottage. She was a honest, kind and generous person. She was a chocoholic who loved ice cream. She enjoyed shopping sales, especially garage sales, and used coupons faithfully. Above all Ruthie loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received Saturday, October 15, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road Pittsburgh, PA 15236.
