I was fortunate to play on the offensive line for West Mifflin South during Russ's Senior Year Football Season. He was an outstanding Quarterback and athlete. After a particulary steller QB running performance, I congratulated \"Griffy\" on his speed. He jokingly replied that he HAD to run fast to stay away from the guy I was supposed to be blocking!. He was kidding, I think. Russ will be missed. He was a great guy.
