My deepest sympathies to you and your family. Your dad sounded like a remarkable, kind and resourceful man. I would have enjoyed talking to him about his life out on the farm. I'm sorry that I couldn't attend the visitations. As you now know, my dad was in hospice at that time. Maybe the two of them will meet each other in Heaven. I hope you and your family find comfort in your many happy memories.
I always enjoyed visiting Roy’s farm in Dayton and making apple butter with him. He make scripture signs that hung in our church and some still hang in my house. And l loved his stories. He would always start telling me a story then pause and ask, “Have I told you this one before?” I don’t believe I ever said yes. Loved his stories. He was the real deal and certainly had a strong faith in His Lord and Savior.
