Rosemarie Palinsky's Obituary
Rosemarie Palinsky, age 87, of Bethel Park, formerly of Duquesne, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 19, 2026, while surrounded by the love of her family. Born on July 14, 1938, she was the daughter of the late John Palinsky and Helen E. Sakson.
Rosemarie was a dedicated and caring mother, mother-in-law, and Mammer. She was a proud grandmother who was passionately involved in her granddaughter Julia's life, never missing a softball game and cherishing every family vacation.
Rosemarie enjoyed a long career spanning over 30 years as the admissions specialist at PITT. An avid reader and skilled crafter, Rosemarie found joy in crocheting and knitting. She enjoyed a good game of Bingo alongside her friends and playing games, completing paint by numbers and doing puzzles on her tablet. She also loved spending time with her grand-dogs.
Rosemarie's unwavering love and dedication as a mother and grandmother shaped the lives of those around her. She will be fondly remembered by all those who knew her.
Rosemarie is the loving mother of Elena (Paul) Sherwin and the cherished grandmother of Julia (Conor Boston) Sherwin. She also leaves many cousins and extended family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, William J. Palinsky.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Resurrection Parish, St. John Capistran Church, 1610 McMillan Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15241. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in honor of Rosemarie may be made to Penn State THON.
