Love, Beth
Well kids you mom did it. She left this place with all the grace and poise just like she lived her everyday life. And “Bootsie” (cause I never ever heard anyone in the 50+ years of knowing her, call her Rosella) certainly was one of a kind. She always had time for you whether you needed some good advice or just a shoulder to lean on. We shared fun things and at times and more serious or sobering things. Always willing to help where and whenever she could. Between the four of you kids and the three Fike kids there was always something going on. Always thought your dad had a great idea a of a little cross bridge over Judy and Larry’s house so the girls could just travel back and forth. But now I can just picture she and JESUS walking hand in hand through fields of flowers or strolling on those streets of gold. While we grieve her absence here on earth make no mistake she’ll be carefully watching till our time to pass through those pearly gates. No doubt she’ll be waiting with open arms welcoming us into our heavenly home with our Lord. What a day of rejoicing that will be. But until then, remember all the good things she’s taught. Carry them with you tenderly in your heart. But share them with others when the Holy Spirit leads She taught me that she always took the presence of a hummingbird as a conformation of the Holy Spirit being near. I’ve taken on that idea and cherished every hummingbird real, ceramic or even on paper that I ever encounter. Tomorrow will be a very hard day and I certainly would be there with you if I possibly could. I just learned from Judy tonight that there was going to be a service or we could have had some remembrance on the alter, Who knows maybe a hummingbird might emerge from somewhere. Just know that God’s love letter to us , the Bible, says that to be absent frm the body is to be present with the Lord. She’s at peace and all is well. May the Lord bless you and keep you, May His Face shine upon you and be gracious onto you.and give you HIS PEACE! Numbers 6: 24-26 Our sympathy and love joined with Christ’s Jerry and Beth
