Ronald David Persky's Obituary
Ronald D. Persky, age 75, of Lawrenceville, PA, passed away on April 5, 2025. Born on May 20, 1949, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Milton Persky and Miriam (Randall) Persky.
A true Pittsburgher through and through, Ron spent his entire career working in the Strip District at Consmer's Produce Company. Known for his strong work ethic, he took pride in his job and the people he worked alongside. Some of whom became his best friends, forever known as the amigos.
Ron was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Constance Persky. He was a proud father to Lisa (Jason) Florian, Christopher Persky (Rich Ford), and Brian Persky, and a cherished grandfather to Nicholas and Nathan Florian, Sophie, Peter, Max, and Gavin Ford, and Brayden Persky. He is also lovingly remembered by his stepchildren: Heather (Matt) Wright and their children Hannah and Jacob; Stephen (Jessica) Murphy and their children Patrick and Nathan; and Margaret Murphy and her son Mason.
In his younger years, Ron was a fantastic bowler, and when his health allowed,he enjoyed playing golf. He was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins and never missed a chance to watch his hometown teams. He loved music and a good action movie- but more than anything, he loved his family. One of his greatest joys was watching his grandsons play football and dek hockey, always cheering them on with pride whether in the stands or from home.
Ron was a strong, proud man who always cared more about others than himself. He never wanted to burden anyone and faced life's challenges with dignity. He was also, as those closest to him knew well, incredibly stubborn- with a temper to match. He wasn't one to say "I love you" out loud; instead, he'd joke and say "I hate you" with a grin, and everyone who knew him knew exactly what he meant. His love was constant, shown in a million little ways, always present even if unspoken.
His daughter Lisa and son Christopher especially credits him for passing down his relentless work ethic. His strength, loyalty, and fierceness defined him.
He was the kind of man who would give anyone the shirt off his back. He was always ready to lend a hand to his neighbors, and lived his life with simplicity and selflessness.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
As he always said, "Everything will be alright. It will all work out in the 'warsh' - (that is wash in his Pittsburghese). Don't worry about me- you've got enough to worry about."
We will love you forever...
