Marlee Chavez
I have nothing but good memories with Ronald, my uncle. Growing up, my sister and I would spend summers and holidays in Pennsylvania which always included staying with him, Aunt Gina and Cody. He always made us laugh with his jokes, calm us when we were upset, and keep us level headed. He was the peacemaker of the family and always showed up. He was a man of his word. One specific memory of Uncle Ronnie during my adulthood was a few years ago when I ran the Pittsburgh Half marathon. I wasn’t sure which, or if any, family members would be at the finish line other than my mom. Sure enough, there he was, with his big smile and a congratulatory joke of “so did you win?” I will cherish these memories and am grateful for having had such a beautiful soul in my life. To my mother (Suzy), Aunt Patty, Cody and Erin, I send you my deepest condolences, I pray you heal and find peace. We, the Chavez family, are here for you all for anything you need. Cody- you were my brother I never had during my childhood. I love you, man.
