Ronald James Burkhart's Obituary
Ronald James "Ronnie" Burkhart, a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully in his hometown of Pittsburgh on October 7, 2023. Born on July 15, 1950.
Ronnie was a man of simple pleasures. He found joy in the company of his family, often spending time with his nieces and nephews, who adored their fun-loving uncle. His love for animals was evident, particularly his fondness for his poodles, who were his constant companions. Ronnie was also known for his love of white Russians and Lays potato chips, a combination that was a staple at family gatherings and a testament to his laid-back and cheerful nature.
Ronnie is survived by his siblings, Augie (Chris) Burkhart, Eileen (late Bill) Hudson, and Dianne (Rod) Burkhart-Hancher. Cherished uncle to Dave (Pamm) Hudson and Jenne (Matt) Colaizzi and many great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents August D. and Mildred Burkhart.
Ronnie's life was a testament to the power of love, laughter, and simple pleasures. His memory will continue to inspire those who knew him, reminding them to cherish the moments of joy and love in their own lives.
Friends and family will be received Monday, October 16, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road Pittsburgh, PA 15236. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at Our Lady of Hope Parish worship site St. Germaine Church 7003 Baptist Rd Bethel Park, PA 15102 Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial in Pittsburgh, PA.
