Robert "Bob" Taper's Obituary
Robert (Bob) M. Taper, age 42, passed away on June 7, 2024. He was a beloved father, husband, son, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Bob was born on June 19, 1981 in Monongahela, Pennsylvania where he spent his formative years. He was a longtime employee of Ductmate Industries. Throughout his career, Bob was known for his work ethic and dedication.
Bob met the love of his life, Dana, and they were married for 17 wonderful years. They were blessed with two children whom they loved and adored. Bob was a dedicated family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He was a man of integrity, always putting his family’s needs above his own.
Bob also had a love for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins. He was known for his infectious laugh and his willingness to always help and be there for others.
In addition to his wife Dana, Bob is survived by his daughters, Allyson and Aubrie as well as his parents, Steve (Juliana) Taper of Cranberry Twp, Pennsylvania and Bev (Ralph) McCullough of New Port Richey, Florida. Bob is also survived by his sisters Susan (Scott) Ramsey, Kelly (Darren) Farella, Renee Rutherford, and brother Paul (Shelli) Taper. Also surviving are several nieces, and nephews.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 2 to 4 pm and from 6 to 9 pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2024 12:00 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The American Cancer Society https://donate.cancer.org/ in Bob’s honor. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
