Robert L. Mowry's Obituary
Robert "Bob" Mowry, 64, of Scott Township formerly of Jefferson Hills and Pleasant Hills, was unexpectedly called to be with his Lord and Savior on April 14, 2026.
Robert was a graduate of Mon Valley High School. You may know his friendly face from his time spent working at a Giant Eagle grocery store. Most recently he worked for First Student in Venetia, PA as a school bus aide where he ensured the safety of students aboard.
Generally, Robert had a quiet demeanor, happy to sit and listen to the world around him. That was, unless you were talking about sports. If the conversation had anything to do with the Steelers, Penguins, or Pirates his face would light up and he would gleefully chime in with every detail he had to share. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends and participating in activities such as bowling.
He was a gentle soul, one that will be missed greatly from the lives of his loved ones, friends and housemates.
Robert is survived by his loving sister Michele (Robert) Lijewski, uncle Raymond Orsi, aunts Betty Krut and Joann Hawkins and many cousins and family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents Allen and Fran Mowry and brother Paul Mowry.
Friends and family are welcome for visitation on Sunday April 19, 2026 from 2pm-6pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home 301 Curry Hollow Rd. Pittsburgh PA 15236. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home's chapel on Monday April 20 at 10:00am followed by graveside service at Jefferson United Methodist Church Cemetery, 310 Gill Hall Road, Clairton PA 15025.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are encouraged to Mainstay Life Services https://mainstaylifeservices.org/ways-to-give/ or please consider a Memorial Tree planting.
