Robert J. ("Bobby King") King
February 11, 1943- February 7, 2021
Age 77 of Verona, PA, formerly of Leechburg, PA, went to be with the Lord on February 7, 2021. He was the beloved husband of nearly 50 years to Patricia (Macioce) King.
He was predeceased by his parents Clarence King and Anna (Bocinec) King, a brother Daniel (Betty) King and a sister Mary Ann (late Dale) Clawson.
He is survived by many friends and relatives. He was a member of Christ the Divine Shepherd Parish, serving Penn Hills and Monroeville, PA.
He served in the US Army as a Specialist Four (E4) in the 472nd Military Police Co., Yukon Command and Ft. Wainwright, Fairbanks, Alaska. (1964-1966). He completed 27 years' combined service at UPMC's The Eye and Ear and Montefiore Hospitals.
Robert was a kind and gentle man who followed Pittsburgh sports teams, enjoyed oldies music, loved boating at Lake Raystown and motor home traveling throughout the United States.
He will be greatly missed by his family and the many friends who loved him including his 1961 Vandergrift High School classmates and the reunion committee on which he served.
Due to COVID restrictions, all services will be private at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd. Pittsburgh PA 15236.
