Rob
Now he knows.
I first met Rob when we roomed together on a golf outing to Orlando Florida. During that week, I learn of Rob’s deep concern for his elderly father. Every day he would take time to call his father and have a loving and quality, interactive conversation with his Dad.
Golfing together tells you a lot about a man and after our week together I was encouraged to get Rob’s phone number so that if an opportunity might present itself, we might contact one another.
And it did, I golfed once again with Rob at Youghioeny CC along with his good friend, Michael.
While visiting, I once again ran into Rob at church.
I, along with the entire congregation, heard a stirring sermon from Pastor Frank. Frank would never let anyone leave his church service without a loving message about Jesus sacrificial life, his death for our sins, and his resurrection. I believe Rob heard that message and responded to the call and was a “child of God.”
Rob was not a perfect Christian..he was a forgiven Christian and all because a “good friend” invited him to church.
Rob, you will be missed by many but we will see you in the next life.
I feel certain he will hear these words “Well done my good and faithful servant.”
