Robert J. Garber, DC's Obituary
Robert J. Garber, 75 of Jefferson Hills, PA quietly passed away in his home, surrounded by his family, on December 26, 2025 after a 2 year difficult and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Bob was born on April 10, 1950 to Betty (Verbanes) Garber and Melvin Garber. After graduating from Serra Catholic High School, he went on to the University of Iowa, then to study chiropractic medicine at Palmer College in Davenport, Iowa.
Immediately after receiving his Chiropractic degree, he joined the staff at Pierce Chiropractic Clinic in Dravosburg, PA, where he has been practicing for 51 years - up until his passing.
Bob was a devoted spouse, father and grandfather, who dedicated his life to providing love, guidance and support to his family. His unwavering commitment to parenthood defined him, and his memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
Although Bob may not have liked being the "center of attention", he deserves to have his years of fatherly and grandfatherly love honored. He was a man of great integrity, kindness, generosity, and he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Dr. Bob (as many called him), was a force of nature in the chiropractic community. He was determined to heal and help anyone that came to his door. He never refused anyone that could not pay for his services. His goal was healing, and his reward was bringing all of his patients back to health.
Bob was a passionate hockey fan and avid golfer. Anyone who visited his home would always find the television turned to a hockey game or a golf tournament.
He is survived by his wife Barbara, who was his soulmate and life partner for 35 years. He is also survived by his sons Rob Garber (Brianne) and Deron Stock (Carrie), his sister Cheryl Marraccini (Dean). Nicholas and Jacob Stock are his cherished and beloved grandsons. Nicholas (22) is a senior at West Virginia University, pursuing a career in Logistics. Jacob (19) is currently a member of the Minot North Dakota Minotaros Junior Hockey Team in the North American Hockey League.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Betty and Melvin Garber.
