Thank you, Uncle Bob, for helping me get through my teenage years. I appreciated your time and guidance. I will miss you!
My sincerest condolences to the family and friends of Robert Burnett. I knew Bob well from way back in New Castle and from working at the Youth Development Center in New Castle where he served as principal of Frew Mill School. Bob hired me to coach the track and field team at Frew Mill School in its inaugural seasons. Bob and I stayed in touch for a number of years while he was at Seneca Valley almost always talking about sports and how to effectively re-direct youth to get on a positive path. I haven’t been in contact with him in a number of years but hearing about his passing saddens me. May he rest in peace and may God provide comfort to his surviving lovrd ones. Family and Friends of Robert Wendell Burnett May God comfort and support you in the time of your loss. My prayers and thoughts are with you. Bob was a dear classmate, friend and teammate at Baldwin High School. We also both graduated for Slippery Rock State College. “Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” John 14: 1 -3 May God Bless and Keep You, Lou Slautterback BHS 1963
At Cornell we appreciated having Bob help to improve our girls basketball and track programs. He was very sports knowledgable and well liked by all. Please accept our condolences. Sincerely Cornell Athletics
