"Robby"'s Obituary
Donald A. "Robby" Robinson passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022.
Robby is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joanne; his children Todd (Leisa) Robinson, Matthew (Jennifer) Robinson, and Jodi (Mitchell Dubbs) Robinson; beloved grandchildren, Austen, Brandon, Jacob, McKenna, McKinlee, and Zachary; in addition his brother Argyl (Nancy) of Southport N.C. and their children, Jeffrey Robinson and the late Lori Lee Robinson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Argyle and Dorothy (Montgomery) Robinson.
Robby grew up in Dravosburg, PA where he loved all sports and was a newspaper carrier. He was a graduate of McKeesport High School class of 1953 and also an Eagle Scout. He then went on to serve his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, he was a 1962 graduate of Grove City College where he met the love of his life, Joanne.
Robby worked as the Supervisor of Traffic and Transportation for PPG Industries for many years. Also after leaving PPG he owned a Packaging Store in Bethel Park, PA. Over the years he has been a fast pitch softball player, coached his children's soccer, softball and basketball teams, taught Sunday School, and was a deacon and elder at Mount Lebanon United Presbyterian Church. He was also a member of Masonic Lodge 375 in McKeesport as well as the Lion's Club of Upper St. Clair.
More recently, Robby was interested in genealogical research. He loved his family above all else and loved spending time with them. Robby will be remembered for being kind to all and he always thought of others before himself.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, August 1st from 9-10 A.M. A funeral service will be held in the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel at 10 A.M. followed by a graveside service at Jefferson Memorial Park.
