Rita M. Weber's Obituary
Rita M. Weber, age 92, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2026. Born on December 18, 1933, she was the daughter of the late James and Agnes (Rush) Whalen.
Rita made her home in Pittsburgh beside her beloved husband of 51 years, Raymond J. Weber. One of five children, family values were deeply instilled in Rita from a young age. She was a dedicated and loving mother, her love only blossoming with the additions of grandchildren. She was committed to her family and cared deeply for each person, always proudly sharing who had what going on in their lives each week.
Rita was a devout Catholic and enjoyed praying the rosary and attending bible study alongside her friends at Baptist Manor. In her free time she enjoyed card games with friends and family and playing Bingo.
Rita will be remembered for the deep love and care she showed towards others as well as her contagious laugh and wonderful sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
Rita was the beloved mother of Raymond (Shannon) Weber and Judith (Joseph) Grunwald and the loving grandmother of Olivia and Hailey Weber and Mitchell, Stephanie and Eric Grunwald. She also leaves her brother, Patrick Whalen.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Weber and her siblings James Whalen, Sarah Luxenburger and Jack Whalen.
Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for visitation from 3:00 - 7:00 pm on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at Resurrection Parish, Saint Thomas More Church, 126 Fort Couch Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15241. Burial will be held privately.
