Rita Rose Puhlman's Obituary
Rita Rose Puhlman, age 79, of Pittsburgh, passed away on October 15, 2020.
Rita was born on September 23, 1941 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late John and Sylvia (Ruszczyk) Zofcin.
Rita is survived by her children, Julie (Richard) Clarvit, William J (Cherryl) Puhlman, Sharon Wade, and John Paul Puhlman; siblings, Vera Helf, Thomas Zofcin, and Sally Clark; grandchildren, Philip Charles Puhlman, Amanda (Andrew) Fillipponi, Sara (Yianni) Georgalis, John William Wade and Emily Sydelle Clarvit; great-grandchildren, Leonidas and Alexandros Georgalis; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, William H. Puhlman who passed in 2017.
Rita lived for her family. She enjoyed organizing activities and events, including annual family picnics. April Fool's day was a favorite of hers, she got such a kick out of playing pranks on everyone in the family.
Rita's family will miss her dearly because she was always there when you needed her most.
Friends will be received on Sunday, October 18th from 2-4PM & 6-8PM at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Blessing Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, October 19th at 10AM. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.

Due to the unusual times brought on by the present pandemic, please do not feel obligated to make an in person appearance at the funeral home. Monday's Blessing Service will be streamed via Zoom at 10AM prior to burial. No bereavement luncheon will be held at this time.
