Richard F. Simpson's Obituary
Richard F.Simpson, 84 of Collier Township, youngest son of the late Samuel P. S. Simpson and Olive Irene Horne Simpson, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021. He was born in Pittsburgh, July 23, 1936. Rich was the owner of Simpson Express Trucking, and taught in the Montour School district. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and Crafton High School. He served in the U.S. Army. Rich enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, taking trips with his friends, reading fiction, and discussing everything. He is survived by his brother James (Ardeth) Simpson, sister in-law Margaret (Samuel) Simpson, niece Ann (Rick) Landesberg, nephew Jim (Amy) Simpson, nephew Donald (Barb) Simpson, and grand nieces/nephews Lisa (Marc) Ehrhardt, Rose Landesberg, Hannah Landesberg, Tyler Simpson, Timothy Simpson, Heather Simpson, and Stephen Simpson. He was preceded in death by his brothers Samuel (Margaret) Simpson, John (Betty) Simpson, nephew J. Gerard Hegner, and niece Nita Hanse. Rich will be laid to rest in Jefferson Memorial Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to the care of Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills. Plans for a gathering of family and friends are pending.
