Richard "Dick" P. Solomon's Obituary
Richard "Dick" P. Solomon, age 89, of Baldwin-Whitehall, formerly of Brookline passed away peacefully on January 13, 2021.
Dick is survived by his daughter, Stacey Hudson; three sons, Michael Solomon, John (Joanne) Solomon and Rick (Amy) Solomon; grandchildren, Tiffany (Bobby) Powell, Ashley (Ryan) Hauck, Marissa Solomon, Chelsey (Dylan) Steigerwald, Randi Hudson, Alana Solomon, Abby Solomon, Zachary Solomon, Luke Hudson and Drake Hudson; great-grandchildren, Braeden, Gavin, Chase, Robert and Shay; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Rose Marie; parents, John "Jack" and Margaret "Peg" Solomon; brothers, Skippy (Jean) Solomon and Gene (Theresa) Solomon.
Dick was a successful and talented salesman and business owner. He started his business, Transport Unlimited in the 1980's and was active for over 50 years. In his spare time, Dick enjoyed golfing, bowling, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren, who treasured him. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Elizabeth of Hungary and member of South Hills Country Club.
Dick was adored by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
Friends will be received on Sunday, January 17th from 4PM to 8PM at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236.
In compliance with Pennsylvania guidelines, only 25 people are permitted in the visitation room at any time. Please be prepared to wait outside. All in attendance must wear a face covering.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, January 18th at 12P.M. at the Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Elizabeth of Hungary Worship Site, 1 Grove Place, Pittsburgh PA 15236.
