Richard Petrovich's Obituary
Richard K. Petrovich, age 75, of South Park, formerly of West Mifflin, passed away suddenly from heart complications on October 26, 2021.
Richard is survived by his beloved Wife, Carolyn Hirschman, and her two children Kimberly (Edward) and Scott, also survived by cousins, extended family, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred H. Petrovich and Joan Kroll Petrovich.
Rich was a proud graduate of Waynesburg University, a member of Theta Chi fraternity, and attended many homecomings. He was a veteran of the National Guard. Rich was an active and beloved member of Bethany Lutheran Church of Bethel Park. He was passionate about photography and was a member of the Academy of Science and Art Pittsburgh and Lensshooters Camera Club of Peters Township. His other greatest interest was playing tennis regularly at the Glen Creek Tennis Club where he was a member for many years. Rich loved to travel with his wife Carolyn and often took trips with his dear photography friend Sam Avampato. Rich and Carolyn wintered in their condo in Naples, Florida and last year spent hours photographing an eagles nest with other photographers. Residents of the Greenbriar Condominium Community, where he lived most of the months, thought highly of him; and his photography is displayed in the clubhouse. He recently did a photography show for the community.
