Richard "Dicky" Mitchell's Obituary
Richard (Dicky) Mitchell, 71, of Jefferson Boro, formerly of West Mifflin passed away in his home on October 18, 2020. Husband of Donna (Youkers) Mitchell; father of Tammy (Brian) Schmidt and Steven (Megan) Mitchell; grandfather of Allyssa, Tyler, Michaela, and Maxwell all of West Mifflin; brother of John Mitchell, Patti (Randy) Smith, Bob Mitchell, Larry (Maralynne) Mitchell, and Kathy (Larry) Stanley; son of the late John and Catherine (Barnes) Mitchell of Perris, California, formerly of Pittsburgh; brother- in-law of Bill (Rita) Youkers, Jack (Terri) Youkers, Bob (Nancy) Youkers, the late Kim Davis, Jim Davis, Terry (Caroline) Youkers, Diane(Tom) Mangus, Tracy (Eric Droppa) Youkers and many nieces and nephews. He has been cared for by his Guardian Angel, Dena Genes of West Mifflin. Dicky was loved by his large family and friends. He was the “superman” that fought a hard battle with a big smile and those bright blue piercing eyes that will never be forgotten. He had a love of the outdoors, his camp he built from scratch and his grandchildren were his world. He was devoted to his lifelong companion and best friend, Donna. Dicky and Donna just celebrated 50 years of marriage last week. The visitation will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-9 at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A memorial will be held on Thursday, October 22 at 10:30 at Pittsburgh Lincoln Place of the Nazarene, 5604 Interboro Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15207.
