Richard R. Mazingo
of Elizabeth Twp., formerly of Pleasant Hills, passed away on March 3, 2016, surrounded by his family. Richard was the loving and proud husband of Joyce, and father of Christopher, brother to Lorraine Mihaly of Vancouver, Washington, brother-in-law of Bill and Judy Rosenhoover, uncle to Bill, Jeff, and Jenny Rosenhoover, uncle to Ed, Lisa, Shelly, and Beth Mihaly, and deeply devoted to close family members Bill and Elaine Kirschman and their four children Shelly, Amy, Joyce, and Bill Kirschman. Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Jolana, and his step-father, Leon. Richard was a devoted servant to his community through his membership and leadership in the Pleasant Hills and West Mifflin Lion's Clubs, was a 32nd degree Mason in the Lodge of Perfection Guthrie Scottish Rite, and served as a long-time deacon in the Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church, where he shared his talents and passion for service through mission work and volunteerism in building the church community. In his professional life, Richard was a consummate sales professional and worked for 30 years with Sears Automobile Centers. In his personal time, and post-retirement from Sears, Richard was a dedicated outdoorsman, and loved to spend time on the water fishing and boating, at the Youghiogheny Reservoir and Great Lakes, which he enjoyed with his son, brother-in-law, family and friends. He was a dedicated league bowler, and very proud of his several perfect game trophies. Richard's jovial manner and sense of humor brought joy to those he interacted with in all facets of life. Family and friends will gather for visitation on Sunday, March 6, 2016, from 1-4 & 6-8 at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, PA 15236. A service in celebration of Richard's life will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016, at 11:30 AM at the funeral home, and burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Richard may be made to either the Pleasant Hills Community Presbyterian Church or the Pleasant Hills Lion's Club.
