Richard James Lamars' Obituary
Richard James Lamars, 62, of Robinson Township, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Richard was born in Pittsburgh, PA on August 31, 1963, and spent most of his life in Pleasant Hills. He was a senior real estate manager for CBRE and worked there for over 30 years. He married Joy on April 25, 1987; they were married 38 years and have one daughter, Sara.
Rick's love, loyalty, and kind heart were evident in his every action and inspiring to those who knew him. He was proud of and gave selflessly to his family, always anticipating the needs of others. He worked with perseverance, dedication and creativity. He faced challenges with courage and dignity. Rick leaves a legacy of integrity, commitment, and unconditional love. His absence leaves a void, and he will be profoundly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Joy, and daughter Sara (Chris) Houck; grandchildren, Avi and Lucas; sisters Patricia Shipley and Donna (Chris) Sparta; brother George (Joy) Lamars; nieces Rina, Jackie, Brenna, Payton, and Alayna; nephews George, Tony and Nathan. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Marie Lamars and his brother Robert Lamars.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 30th from 2PM-8PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Saint Thomas A' Becket Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 1st at 12PM, followed by burial at Jefferson Memorial Park.
