Richard G. Kowalski's Obituary
Richard G. Kowalski, a lifelong resident of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2023. Born on April 1, 1941, Richard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Virginia (Christofel) Kowalski, his children Richard W. (Dianne) Kowalski, Gerald A. (Chris) Kowalski, and his sister Bridgette "B" (John) Haney. He was a proud grandfather to Laura and Sarah, and a dear uncle to James "Jimmy" Walendziewicz. He was preceded in death by his sister Theresa (Robert) Walendziewicz, and nephews Robert "Bobby" and Timothy "Timmy" Walendziewicz.
Richard was a dedicated member of the IBEW Local 5, where he worked diligently for many years. His passion for scale models of steam locomotives was well-known among his friends and family, and his creations were admired by all who saw them.
Richard will be remembered as a loving individual who cared deeply for his family and friends. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
Friends and family will be received on Monday, November 6th, 2023 from 6-8pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills, PA, 15236.
A Blessing service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday November 7th at 12pm.
Burial will be handled by Jefferson Memorial Park.
