Richard Armin Graef's Obituary
Richard A. Graef, age 85, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025.
Richard proudly served in the Army Reserves and dedicated over 65 years to his profession as a steamfitter with Steamfitters Local 449. He was a hardworking and honest individual, known for his unwavering commitment to his craft and his easy-going, humorous nature. In addition to his work in the HVAC industry, Richard had a passion for restoring vintage cars, gardening, landscaping, and home improvements. His artistic spirit extended to painting, where he expressed his creativity and love for beauty in the world around him. Richard was also an animal lover, especially for his dogs over the years.
Richard is survived by his wife of 63 years Joyce Graef; children Jennifer (Brian) Taylor, Rick (Mindy) Graef, and Stacey Graef; grandchildren Kyle Taylor, Brooke Taylor, and Carson Graef; sister Linda Joyce; nephews Kevin Joyce and Ryan Joyce; as well as his beloved dog Sloane.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents Armin and Emma Graef.
Services are private. Family under the care of Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.
