Richard J. (Dick) Hostert, Sr.'s Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Richard J. (Dick) Hostert, Sr., born March 19, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois, announce his passing on Friday, November 26, 2021 at the age of 91. After putting forth a strong spirit in full force, Dick went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as heaven has gained another carpenter. Richard served as a corporal in the U.S. Army at the end of the Korean War in a field artillery battery. Dick is survived by his loving wife Carol of 64 years, five children, two son-in-laws, four grandsons, one great-granddaughter, and a host of nieces and nephews. He loved his family, friends, neighbors, woodworking in the garage and a good bourbon. Dick is ready to move the “orange cone” for you in a reserved parking spot when you meet again in heaven. Cheers to Richard/Dick/Dad/Grandpa/Uncle Dick!
Funeral Mass and Military Honors will be Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 10:30 a.m., Our Lady of Hope Parish, Nativity Church, 5811 Curry Hollow Road Pittsburgh, PA 15236. Online condolences at www.jeffersonmemorial.com
