He proudly served in 11th Airborne during World War II where he attained the rank of Sgt. 1st Class, where one of his duties was to train the soldiers how to pack their parachutes. In 1947 he went on to become a iron worker where he help build many buildings that are still in use today.
On February 20 1948, He married the love of his life Mary, and they were married for 73 years until her passing on April 28 2021.
He gave us so many experiences growing up: motorcycle riding, boating, camping, fishing, flying airplanes, golfing, hunting, ducks, dogs and horses.
Even during his last days with all the pain, he always retained his politeness and kindness with his caregivers.
There are not enough words to say just how special of a man he was to his family and friends who loved him very much.
There is a huge void in our lives. We will never be the same. Daddy is now with his one true love Mummy and they are at peace.
Jim and Cathy would like to express how grateful they are to have had him as their father.
"Daddy we love you". This is not goodbye, this is " Over and Out ", your loving son, Jim and your loving daughter, Cathy XOXO.
